London, UK–31st July 2008: Leading publisher of PC and console interactive entertainment, Koch Media UK, is today pleased to announce the launch of its Cherry Tree Lane brand, which will be used to promote an exciting new range of family-focused games on both Nintendo Wii and DS from Q4 2008 and beyond.
The Cherry Tree Lane brand marks the start of a lively and entertaining new range of gaming titles that have been designed to specifically promote strong family values and help children’s imagination come to life. Each title has been picked for its unique family-friendly appeal, with a bias towards girl gamers aged 6-12, and features gameplay that promotes the brand’s core message of fun and safety, ensuring parents and gift buyers of the suitability of all Cherry Tree Lane’s products.
Titles that are to be showcased by the new Cherry Tree Lane brand at launch include:
• Groovy Chick Nursery and Groovy Chick Fashion Shop: two titles aimed at fashion-conscious, pre-teenage girls who just love to shop!
• Ellen Whitaker’s Horse Life: Is the perfect solution of living your dream to own and care for your very own champion pony.
• Baby Life: Allows you to love and care your very own virtual baby .
• Let’s Play: a range of six unique titles, Shops, Firemen, Schools, Pet Hospitals, Fashion Designer, Mums, that allow children to let their imagination run wild in the safety of the game’s controlled environment.
All launch games in the Cherry Tree Lane range are exclusive to Nintendo DS, with the exception of Ellen Whitaker’s Horse Life, which is available on both Wii and DS.
To help promote this ground-breaking launch, Koch Media has put together a massive print and television advertising campaign, with primetime slots booked across both terrestrial and satellite channels. In addition, the launch will be accompanied by trade presentations and in-store marketing displays, and all games have been positioned at a competitive SRP of£29.99 to help encourage strong sales throughout the Christmas period and beyond.
"We’re immensely excited to be launching the Cherry Tree Lane range,” said Craig McNicol, Managing Director at Koch Media.“There is a huge market for family-focused games, particularly for girls in the 6-12 age range, and we expect our hand picked titles to stand out in retail due to unique positioning and strong licensed endorsements. We will work diligently so that the Cherry Tree Lane brand name becomes synonymous with strong, positive family values and high-quality gaming.”
