In April 2008, THQ Wireless opens a new production
HEADQUARTERS studio in San Diego, California and names the new office its global headquarters. The move expands THQ WIRELESS presence in North America.
ABOUT
The San Diego office will serve as a one stop shop for the entire publishing process, from game design and product management to porting, QA and deployment. It currently has more than 30 employees and will be expanding in the coming months. The office is being headed by Lauren Thorpe, VP of Operations.
RESTRUCTURING
THQ WIRELESS’S mobile sales group is continuing its aggressive expansion with the appointment of industry heavyweight Beth Doherty as Vice President of Sales, North America. Beth brings a sparkling 20-year track record from top publishers such as Sony Computer Entertainment as well as Glu Mobile.
Additionally, THQ WIRELESS re-organized its product development and production teams by upping Brad Pitser, previously Executive Producer for THQ WIRELESS, to head of Global Production.
THQ WIRELESS has worldwide offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Finland, Australia, and Switzerland.
