GAMEFEST 08: XNA general manager becomes CTO of MS' Interactive Entertainment Business

XNA general manager Chris Satchell has been promoted to chief technical officer of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, according to Edge-Online.

Previously head of the Microsoft developer's group, Satchell is best known outside the company as the firm's main XNA evangelist, presenting keynotes at a wide range of conferences and championing the cause of not only user-generated content but also user-created games.

In his new role he'll work closely with Shane Kim, recently promoted to VP of strategy and business development, and Don Mattrick, senior VP of IEB.
