Offers 'majority' of workers jobs in San Diego
Midway has announced that it will be combining its LA development studio with San Diego-based Midway Home Entertainment.
The new outfit will be housed in the current San Diego facility, and the 'majority' of the LA studio's employees - specifically including all of the TNA iMPACT team - will be offered jobs at the new office.
The Los Angeles studio, which is actually in Moorpark, California, was acquired by Midway in 2004 when it bought Paradox Developments.
According to Midway's statement, the fusion of the teams will 'allow the TNA iMPACT! development team to further leverage synergies with Midway's other development studios in Chicago, Austin, Seattle, and Newcastle, UK, and work in close conjunction with the third-party production, licensing, and quality assurance groups that are currently in San Diego.'
It also added that it chose to remain in San Diego due to the talent pool in the area, which expects to start recruiting from soon.
