Early version of game-sharing initiative online now

Microsoft has launched a beta version of Community Games for Xbox Live, the user-created game sharing service revealed at this year's Game Developers Conference.

The service allows users to create games with XNA and then upload them to a portal to share with the Xbox Live community. Content is rated based on descriptors set by the creators, which are then validated by Creators Club members.

The beta of the service allows Creators Club members to submit and review other people's games and test the distribution pipeline to Xbox Live.

At the same time, Microsoft has overhauled its XNA Creators Club website, also adding a new role-playing game starter kit in the process.

For more information about the service, check out our interview with XNA lead Chris Satchell, which can be found here and here.
