Wwise audio tool to be offered for free with Gamebryo until end of June
Audio tool company Audiokinetic has announced a partnership with Gamebryo vendor Emergent that bundles its Wwise software with the game engine for free.
The offer, which is available until June 30th, comes following Audiokinetc's joining the Emergent Partners Program earlier this year. The two said they had "decided to take this partnership a step further by bundling Wwise and Gamebryo into a single product offering".
As part of the promotion, customers who buy Gamebryo will receive Wwise automatically and for free - while existing Gamebryo customers who have an active and valid support contract will qualify to use Wwise for the development of their game for free as well.
“The relationship between Audiokinetic and Emergent represents two forward thinking companies who are working together to make game development easier to empower innovation in our industry,” said Scott Johnson, president, Emergent Game Technologies.
“Bundling our products and providing our customer base with Wwise demonstrates the sole purpose of our partner program, integrating numerous solutions together and making them more accessible to the development community.”
André Nadeau, president and CEO, Audiokinetic, added: "Emergent is a very reliable and efficient commercial partner that shares our customer centric values.
"By bundling Wwise with Gamebryo, we take yet another step towards our goal: to set Wwise as the obvious audio solution for game development."
