Official announcement is still due, but N-series phone users can now access Nokia's game service
Although reports on the web say that Nokia is still holding back on an official announcement until Monday, the Finnish phone firm has finally launched its N-Gage games service.
It's been a long time coming; originally set to arrive late last year, it has since been through an extended gestation and testing phase after a couple of delays.
Now, however, owners of Nokia's N81, N81 8GB, N82, or N95 handsets can download the client here - or by accessing the mobile site, n-gage.mobi/d - while N73, N93, and N93i will be able to access it soon.
The service lets players download games direct to their phone using over-the-air and sideloading digital distribution and is backed up with an Xbox Live-style user ID and menu system.
